The radiation oncologists at The Jefferson Breast Care Center offer breast cancer patients advanced radiation therapy treatments using state-of-the-art technology that can improve patient outcomes and reduce the radiation exposure to healthy tissue and organs.
One such option for women is called Active Breathing Coordination (ABC) and it is used to protect the heart and other organs from radiation during treatment.
The experienced radiation oncologists at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson were the first in the Philadelphia region to use the ABC device.
