Are weight issues outweighing what’s good in your life? Bariatric surgery may be the answer.

Since 2008, Jefferson has successfully treated more than 450 patients, earning our Program designation as an Accredited Center by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program.

Please join us at this free seminar where you will have the opportunity to meet our physicians, learn about various procedures offered at Jefferson including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy and find out if bariatric surgery is right for you.

Are You a Candidate for Weight Loss Surgery?

Candidates have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or more or a BMI of 35 or above in association with weight-related health conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart problems, high cholesterol, asthma or joint problems, especially of knees or hips.

All patients at Jefferson undergo extensive evaluation by our multidisciplinary team to minimize risk and help them determine what procedure best fits their individual situations. Procedures are performed using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques, yielding less postoperative discomfort, quicker recovery and lower complication rates when compared with the “open” surgical approach.
