While any potentially life-saving treatment is interesting, what I found more fascinating was how the experts at the Jefferson Vascular Center were able to repair Joe’s abdominal aortic aneurysm without needing to perform traditional open surgery, and that they were able to fix the problem from inside the artery.
After days of abdominal pain a visit to his Jefferson doctor showed Joe McDermott had a life-threatening abdominal aortic aneurysm which was repaired at Jefferson University Hospitals using a stent delivered through his arteries.
